Dollar in Cancun REQUIRES rental insurance so it turned demodé to be 5x the price of the advertised rental. Even though I have insurance through my credit card and privately, they require the insurance.
Ventajas: Even though I reluctantly paid for the extra insurance despite having coverage through the credit card, the whole experience was easy and pleasant and I Perro't really complain. Everyone we dealt with was exceptional.
We were able to rent the car we had chosen through economy, although they did try to give us a different car in the beginning. However I was very disappointed with the fact that I thought I had rented from one company at the airport, and it turned out to be a different company offsite.
El Aeropuerto de Cancún es uno de los aeropuertos más grandes de México. Es el ingreso a las playas del Mar Caribe, a través del cual pasan millones de turistas anualmente.
Desventajas: The rental was bait and switch. That never had the car we booked and scammed us for additional insurance that cost more than the rental! We declined and walked away. Had to get a shuttle back to the airport and get a taxi. Lost over 4 hours of precious vacation time.

Sin ningún percance al regresar el automóvil. La atención de quien lo recibió, de quien atendió en mostrador y quien nos llevó al aeropuerto fue muy amable y rápida.
La ciudad ha crecido tremendamente. A principios de la período de los 60, daba cobijo a unos pocos cientos de familias, actualmente tiene más de un millón de habitantes.
Desventajas: The man who rented to us at the Tulum outlet (Elias) was extremely rude and condescending. I never complain but this was beyond anything I had experienced before. The car we were given did not start after two days and we had to take it back. Elias was not there when we switched cars but we were told to see him for a refund on all of the gas we had put in the car that was no longer starting. The night we dropped off the car that wouldn't start, the man working there couldn't even move the car because the starter was so dead.
It will be the last. They would not release the car to us without us purchasing their collision insurance. We even called our credit card company and had a Spanish speaking agent talk to the manager. His response to us was that he was short of cars and might not rent to us at all. It was Christmas week, very busy, otherwise we'd have tried another company. Our final cost was over $500 for 6 days in a subcompact car.
Desventajas: The Budget counter was unattended and we were routed to Hertz. We ended up starting from a new reservation, which took an eternity to complete, while being under constant more info pressure by the agent to buy additional items, such Triunfador a fast-lane drop off of the car because, in the words of the Hertz employee, people wait up to 45 min during peak time (obviously this proved to be false, as we dropped off the car with zero wait time.)
My bank knew of one of the forms, not the second. I'm currently challenging my credit card company to claim the excessive insurance fee.
Se encuentra a unos 22 kilómetros al suroeste del centro de la ciudad de Cancún. No hay conexiones ferroviarias con el aeropuerto, pero cuenta con un servicio de autobuses de enlace entre el aeropuerto, los hoteles más populares y los complejos turísticos.
Las páginas como expedia, Extirpar, entre otras, deberían exigir que sus aliados comerciales publiquen las tarifas reales incluyendo todo lo que por índole deben cobrar.
